Tour itinerary:

Day 1: Ha Noi - Ba Be Lake
Day 2: Na Nghe Ethnic Zao Village
Day 3: Ba Be Lake Boat Trip
Day 4: Ba Be - Ha Noi
Day 1: Ha Noi - Ba Be Lake (L, D)





Ba Be Lake is situated in Bac Kan province which is 240 km northeast of Ha Noi Capital. Today we visit Cho Chu prison which was built in 1942, captured many Vỉetnam revolution politicians (Việt Cộng). We arrive in Ba Be Lake early in the afternoon, take a rest, have dinner and stay overnight in a local Tay minority family in their traditional wooden stilt house.

Day 2: Na Nghe Ethnic Zao Village (B, L, D)

Heaven trekking day! Tour guide will take you to visit Coc Toc village where Tay people live by fishing. Water crossing in Pelu stream, a special experience for trekking. Today you will have to cross on rough ruts. However, you will be annoyed by insects. Move to the top you must see the things as bewitch as paradise. Going on to upland and stop in Nam Dai village (Cash Dao people) where we have a picnic lunch. In the afternoon the guide will take you to visit the mountains, valleys and the stilt houses, school of the Cash Dao children. Then, you will have dinner in local homestay and spend the night at Na Nghe Village.


Day 3: Ba Be Lake Boat Trip (B, L, D)


Breakfast at homestay. You and your guide must say "goodbye" to the Cash Dao people. Go through trail to visit Nam Dai village then go down the forest to visit Dau Dang waterfall which is within two provinces Bac Kan and Tuyen Quang. Lunch in Mr Hien restaurant, who in name “Ba Be Pirate” then boat trip tour up the river to visit Puong cave where inhabits over 1000 bats with 18 generals and famous with many stalactite and stalagmite. The boat will go on the Nang river which runs through the cave into Ba Be lake. After visiting the An Ma temple, you will return the lake-shore restaurant. Stay in the home-stay

Day 4: Ba Be - Ha Noi (B, L)



We stroll along the riverfront, visit some lovely villages and hike the upper reaches of the lake, in an area marked by massive limestone cliffs and mountains. Today you will have a patience by car driver, he will bring you through a pass which we call “Dog Flower Pass” then stop to take amazing photos by terraced fields. After lunch in a local restaurant we also pay a visit to the Thai Nguyen Minority and Culture Museum where we can learn something about the culture and traditions of the different minority groups in Vietnam, it is our journey back to Hanoi, arriving there at around 6pm.

Hiking and trekking with:
- a 3-7 km hike on Day 1.
- a 12-15 km trek on day 2.
- a 10 - 12 km trek on day 3.
- a 3-5 km trek on Day 4.

From October to June brings cooler and more pleasant weather.
